The Sound
Seeking the right balance in “Sound”
Is sound important? Yes it is; as we gather to rejoice and to receive from the word of God, there is no room for distraction. As we begin to enter into His presence, there is a scratching sound from the mic, or a loud feedback, or the Pastor is preaching and you cannot here or there is one instrument louder than the other; this all adds up to chaos.
A sound engineer must understand the role and very nature of the instruments, and have a working knowledge of the mixing board, eq settings.
Mixing is very important, and each engineer should be a worshipper so they can bring out that sound that will be pleasing.
Engineers should be;
Well trained
Has a basic understanding of Music
Be a worshiper
